The open loops in your head, carried for you

A personal app that reads your own messages and mail — on your own machine — and keeps track of what you'd otherwise keep in your head.

What it does

Life arrives as messages: the bill in an email, the promise in a text, the school form in a PDF nobody opened. Lifeline watches your own iMessage and Gmail, notices the obligations hiding inside ordinary conversation, and turns them into threads — open loops it works quietly in the background.

It notices"We still owe the sitter" becomes a thread before you've thought about it twice.
It worksResearch, price checks, drafts, deadline watching — done while you're living your life.
It closesWhen the reply arrives or the payment clears, the loop closes itself. Fewer threads is the whole point.

Where your data lives

On your Mac. Lifeline is local-first software: your messages, mail, calendar, and everything derived from them stay in a database on your own computer. There is no Lifeline cloud, no account, and no server of ours holding your life. The details are in the privacy policy linked below.

Who it's for

Right now: one person, whose life it runs on. Lifeline is a personal project in active development — the reference implementation of an idea about how software should carry attention, not demand it.
